RELATING TO STATE AFFAIRS AND GOVERNMENT -- STATE EMBLEMS

     

     Introduced By: Senators DiMario, Valverde, Seveney, Gallo, Bell, Lawson, F Lombardi,
Sosnowski, Anderson, and Cano

     Referred To: Senate Special Legislation and Veterans Affairs

     It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

     SECTION 1. Chapter 42-4 of the General Laws entitled "State Emblems" is hereby

amended by adding thereto the following section:

     42-4-23. State fossil.

     The trilobite, a fossilized marine animal commonly found in Rhode Island, is hereby

5

designated the state fossil.

     SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage.
