EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF DOLORES C. | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with utmost sorrow that this Senate has learned of the passing of |
2 | Dolores C. Falaguerra, beloved wife for more than sixty-eight years to Louis Falaguerra, and the |
3 | cherished mother of Susan Allienello and her husband, Michael, Sr., Cheryl Silva and her |
4 | husband, Gary, Sr., and the late Lu-Ann Falaguerra; and |
5 | WHEREAS, Born in the City of Providence, Mrs. Falaguerra was a daughter of the late |
6 | William and Edith Johnson, Sr., and the sister of the late William Johnson, Jr., Audrey Leveille, |
7 | and Beverly Moan. For more than sixty-eight years, she had made her home in the City of East |
8 | Providence and had wintered with her husband in Ft. Myers, Florida for over 35 years; and |
9 | WHEREAS, With a loving personality, Mrs. Falaguerra created and nurtured a marriage |
10 | and home that were warm and welcoming. She doted on her family, particularly her |
11 | grandchildren Gary Silva, Jr., Lindsee Allienello, Brianna Allienello, Michael Allienello, Jr., |
12 | Derek Silva, step-grandchildren Michelle O’Keefe and David Allienello, seven step-great- |
13 | grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her three fur babies, Gracie, Olaf, and Chance; and |
14 | WHEREAS, In addition to making a wonderful home for her family, Mrs. Falaguerra had |
15 | been a bookkeeper for over ten years for the Cable TV Company of East Providence. She was |
16 | also a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church and was very active in the community as a |
17 | member of the Wednesday morning Lady Bug Golf League at Firefly Golf Course, the former |
18 | Busy Bee Bowling of Seekonk, and as the past President of Maria Lodge-Sons of Italy and the |
19 | past President of Sun Valley Women’s Golf League of Rehoboth; and |

1 | WHEREAS, Mrs. Falaguerra loved a good shopping trip, and often enjoyed completing |
2 | puzzles and word search puzzles, knitting, sewing and reading. She was also an avid sports fan, |
3 | particularly football and golf, as well as attending her grandchildren’s sporting events; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Dolores Falaguerra possessed a wealth of knowledge and a warm heart |
5 | which she generously shared with all and she will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
6 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby extends deepest |
7 | condolences on the passing of Dolores C. Falaguerra; and be it further |
8 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
9 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Louis Falaguerra and Family. |
