EXTENDING DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF LYNN MARION WHITE  | |

1  | WHEREAS, It is with deepest sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Lynn  | 
2  | Marion White, a popular and well-respected figure skating instructor and a lifelong resident of the  | 
3  | City of Warwick; and  | 
4  | WHEREAS, Ms. White was a daughter of the late Marion White and Austin White, and  | 
5  | the sister of Dale White, Cheryl Young and her husband, Edwin, William White and his wife,  | 
6  | Suzanne, and Frank White and his wife, Karen. She was also the devoted companion to the love  | 
7  | of her life, her dog Sophie; and  | 
8  | WHEREAS, Ms. White had achieved the distinction of Gold level Ice Dancer with the  | 
9  | United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA), and had been a Figure Skating Instructor in  | 
10  | Rhode Island and Massachusetts for decades. She was a skating coach for the original Snowflake  | 
11  | Precision Team and the Adult Moonlighters Precision Team with the Warwick Figure Skaters;  | 
12  | and  | 
13  | WHEREAS, A devoted communicant, Ms. White was a member of the Woodbury Union  | 
14  | Presbyterian Church in Conimicut, and had been a member and served as a Past Worthy Advisor  | 
15  | of the Warwick Assembly #15 of the order of Rainbow Girls; and  | 
16  | WHEREAS, In addition, Ms. White had been employed at Jennie's Dairy Freeze in  | 
17  | Conimicut for many years; and  | 
18  | WHEREAS, Lynn White motivated and trained hundreds of young people to express  | 
19  | themselves creatively and magically fly across the ice. She was an inspiration to many and she  | 
20  | will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it  |

1  | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses deepest  | 
2  | condolences to the White Family on the passing of Lynn Marion White; and be it further  | 
3  | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized an directed to  | 
4  | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Dale White, Cheryl Young, William White,  | 
5  | Frank White, and the Warwick Figure Skaters.  |
