S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF ARMAND W. DUBOIS

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Armand

2

W. Dubois, the beloved husband of Muriel Dubois for sixty-two years. He was born in

3

Woonsocket, the son of the late Wilbrod and Florida Dubois; and

4

     WHEREAS, Mr. Dubois served our nation with honor and distinction for two years as a

5

member of the United States Army, and then proceeded to attain a degree from Johnson and

6

Wales University; and

7

     WHEREAS, Mr. Dubois was an incredibly versatile and skillful individual who worked

8

tirelessly throughout his life to provide for his family and loved ones in an array of professional

9

endeavors. He began his career working as a knitter in his family’s business and later owned his

10

own business, Diamond Hill Antenna Service, for twenty-eight years; and

11

     WHEREAS, Mr. Dubois also worked for the City of Woonsocket Police Department,

12

with their Traffic Division, for sixteen years before retiring, and as a chief mechanic for bowling

13

alleys in Woonsocket and Milford. He was also very active within the Boy Scouts and was an

14

accomplished cake decorator; and

15

     WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, Muriel, Mr. Dubois leaves behind his children, Marc

16

Dubois and his wife, Elaine, Michael Dubois and his wife, Jane, Lynn Dubois, and Brian Dubois

17

and his wife, Ora. He also leaves behind his siblings, Dennis Dubois, Robert Dubois, Constance

18

St. Germaine, Pauline McLeod and Lucille Bourque, ten grandchildren, Derek, Stefanie,

19

Matthew, Jason, Nicole, Colby, and Dylan Dubois, Corey Deschepper, Chelsea Allard, and Joel

20

Charette, and four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Max, and Kylie Dubois, and Kaelyn Morgan. He

was predeceased by his son, David Dubois, and his brother, Richard Dubois; and

2

     WHEREAS, Mr. Dubois was a devoted family man who was a beloved husband, father,

3

son, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a great friend to many people. The memory of his

4

love and well-lived life will be long remembered by all who knew him; now, therefore be it

5

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest

6

condolences to the Dubois Family on the passing of Mr. Armand W. Dubois; and be it further

7

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

8

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Muriel Dubois and Family.
