HONORING MAXWELL "MAX" DYLAN CUTE ON BEING NAMED THE 2022 TOP

MALE ATHLETE AT LASALLE ACADEMY

     WHEREAS, Maxwell “Max” Dylan Cute is a stellar student-athlete at LaSalle Academy

who is a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society and will be attending UMass-Amherst in the

fall of 2022; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Cute is a standout athlete who excels in multiple sports. He was named

a Rhode Island All-State Hockey Player in both 2021 and 2022, and was the “Top Goalie” during

his senior year at LaSalle; and

     WHEREAS, In Track and Field, Mr. Cute earned numerous honors and awards. In his

junior year, he was selected to the All-State Track and Field Team, was named the Top Javelin

Thrower, and won the State Championship Javelin competition at the 2021 Rhode Island State

Varsity Track and Field Championships; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Cute had one of the greatest Track and Field seasons in Rhode Island

history during his senior year. He repeated as the State Champion Javelin Thrower at the 2022

Rhode Island State Varsity Track and Field Championships at Brown University on June 4, 2022,

and was the New England Champion Javelin Thrower, ranked first, at the New England Track

and Field High School Varsity Championships in New Britain Connecticut on June 11, 2022,

while representing LaSalle Academy. Ultimately, Mr. Cute was named an All-American Javelin

Thrower, with a number three ranking, at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Track and Field

High School Championships in Pennsylvania on June 19, 2022, while representing LaSalle

Academy with an incredible throw of 200 feet and nine inches; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby

congratulates Maxwell “Max” Dylan Cute on his outstanding success as a student-athlete at

LaSalle Academy and for being selected as the 2022 Top Male Athlete at LaSalle Academy. We

furthermore wish him continued success both in the classroom and in athletics this fall at UMass-

Amherst; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Maxwell “Max” Dylan Cute.
