1 | RESOLVED, That there is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not |
2 | otherwise appropriated for the fiscal year 2022-2023, the sum of $685,000 for the Black and |
3 | Latino Community partnership to establish a radio station with the call letters WSOP-LP. |
4 | Nicknamed the "Soul of Providence", the station would be licensed to a Black and Latino |
5 | Community partnership as an independent nonprofit community and listener supported radio |
6 | station operated by volunteers, featuring Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and Latin music and several |
7 | community-based talk shows; and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw |
8 | his orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of said sum, or so much thereof as may be |
9 | from time to time required, upon receipt of properly authenticated vouchers. |
