H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF RHONDA ANN VESPIA

     WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Rhonda

2

Ann Vespia. She was born in Providence, the daughter of Vincent Vespia and Judith-Ann Vespia,

3

and was the devoted mother of Dylan Gershkoff, Tyler Gershkoff, and the late Chad O'Brien. She

4

is also survived by her sisters Renee Caouette and her husband, Ronald Caouette, Jr., and Robin

5

Vespia, her nephew, Dante Caouette, and her devoted companion, John Peterson; and

6

     WHEREAS, Ms. Vespia was a South Kingstown High School graduate, where she was a

7

star athlete and an All-State sprinter. She continued her education at the Ocean State Business

8

Institute, and after graduation worked as an Oral Surgeon's Assistant for many years; and

9

     WHEREAS, Ms. Vespia was an avid bodybuilder and a passionate supporter and

10

advocate of all-natural bodybuilding. She competed competitively in bodybuilding competitions

11

across New England, and received national recognition for her success and exploits; and

12

     WHEREAS, In her free time, Ms. Vespia enjoyed traveling, gardening, and had a general

13

love for all things related to the outdoors. Most important in her life were her family, loved ones

14

and many friends. She was beloved for her natural empathy and compassion for others, her wit,

15

and the immense love she gave to all those fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore be it

16

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby

17

expresses its deepest condolences to the Vespia Family on the passing of Rhonda Ann Vespia;

18

and be it further

19

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

20

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Vincent and Judith-Ann Vespia, Dylan
