EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF TROY D. MARZETTA | |

1 | WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of Mr. |
2 | Troy Marzetta. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Alfred and Rhonda Marzetta, the beloved |
3 | husband of Amy Marzetta, and devoted father of Abigail and Nicholas Marzetta; and |
4 | WHEREAS, Mr. Marzetta graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a |
5 | Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the fraternity Tau |
6 | Kappa Epsilon, and served as their house father, forging many lifelong friendships; and |
7 | WHEREAS, Mr. Marzetta was a hardworking man who served as the Vice President of |
8 | Sales for the Affinity Group in New England for twelve years. He also proudly served our nation |
9 | with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Army Military Police in the Persian |
10 | Gulf; and |
11 | WHEREAS, In his free time, Mr. Marzetta greatly enjoyed landscaping his yard and |
12 | beautifying it with unique and interesting trees and plants. He also enjoyed fishing, travelling, and |
13 | all sports, and most particularly had a passion for playing fantasy football. Above all else, Mr. |
14 | Marzetti enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and loved bringing them together |
15 | for special gatherings and events; and |
16 | WHEREAS, Mr. Marzetta spent more than ten wonderful summers at Camp Jori in |
17 | Wakefield camping, serving as a kitchen attendant, and eventually becoming a camp counselor; |
18 | and |
19 | WHEREAS, In addition to his wife, children and parents, Mr. Marzetta leaves behind his |
20 | stepmother, Patricia Marzetta, his brother, Jon Marzetta and his wife, Debra, and his two sisters, |

1 | Laurie and her husband, David Peloquin, and Cheryl Geoffrey. Mr. Marzetta was the son-in-law |
2 | of Henry and Karen Pristawa, and also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; now, therefore |
3 | be it |
4 | RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest |
5 | condolences on the passing of Troy D. Marzetta; and be it further |
6 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
7 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Amy Marzetta and Family. |
