S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING DEEPEST CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF BRIAN FEENEY

     

     Introduced By: Senators Ruggerio, Goodwin, and McCaffrey

     WHEREAS, Mr. Brian Feeney was born in Providence the son of the late James and

2

Helen Feeney. He was the devoted husband of the late Susan Feeney; and

3

     WHEREAS, Mr. Feeney was a hard-working man his entire life who strived tirelessly to

4

provide for his family and loved ones. His work ethic began as a youngster when he was a paper

5

boy delivering the newspaper around the City. He was the previous owner of the Bradley Café,

6

where his cheery disposition and warm and caring personality never failed to impress a customer.

7

He later served the City of Providence for thirty-two years working for the Providence Water

8

Board; and

9

     WHEREAS, Mr. Fenney was a devoted father to his beloved children, Brian, Caitlin and

10

Colleen, and was a beloved fixture in the Elmhurst Providence Neighborhood, well-remembered

11

for his years of coaching his children and their friends in the Elmhurst Little League; and

12

     WHEREAS, Mr. Feeney leaves behind his children, Brian, Caitlin and Colleen. He was

13

the brother of Jane Quirk and the late James Feeney. He also leaves behind many nieces,

14

nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; now, therefore be it

15

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest

16

condolences on the passing of Mr. Brian Feeney; and be it further

17

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

18

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Brian Feeney, Caitlin Feeney, Colleen Feeney

     and Jane Quirk.
