It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 9-29-5 of the General Laws in Chapter 9-29 entitled "Fees" is hereby |
2 | amended to read as follows: |
3 | 9-29-5. Jurors' fees. |
4 | All grand and petit jurors shall be paid for each day's attendance on the superior court |
5 | twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day commencing July 1, 2022, which shall increase to each fifteen |
6 | dollars ($15.00), thirty-five dollars ($35.00) per day commencing July 1, 2023 and thereafter. The |
7 | and the general assembly shall annually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary to carry |
8 | out the purposes of this section. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |

4 | This act would take effect upon passage. |
