1 | WHEREAS, Assunta "Sue" D'Ambra of Warwick passed away on January 21, 2021. She |
2 | was the devoted wife of the late Americo D'Ambra. She was born in Providence, the daughter of |
3 | the late Chiara Grasso and the late Rocco Grasso; and |
4 | WHEREAS, A hardworking woman, Assunta D'Ambra had worked for many years as an |
5 | Administrative Assistant for D'Ambra Construction. Prior to that she was employed as a lunch aid |
6 | for the Warwick School Department and ARA Food services. As a young woman, she worked in |
7 | the plumbing department at City Hall Hardware in Providence; and |
8 | WHEREAS, Assunta D'Ambra leaves behind her children, Michael D'Ambra and his |
9 | wife, Patricia, John D'Ambra and his wife, Janet, Jerry D'Ambra, Sr., and Lisa D'Ambra. She was |
10 | the devoted grandmother to twelve grandchildren, Michael D'Ambra, Mary Ann D'Ambra, Cindy |
11 | D'Ambra, Robert D'Ambra, Jeffrey D'Ambra, Melinda D'Ambra, McKayla D'Ambra, Jerry |
12 | D'Ambra, Jr., David D'Ambra, Daria D'Ambra, Holly Fricker, and Brian Burk. She also leaves |
13 | behind seventeen great-grandchildren, Michael D'Ambra, Joseph D'Ambra, Donald D'Ambra, |
14 | Jane D'Ambra, Alexandra D'Ambra, Johnny Carraturo, Joshua D'Ambra, Isabella D'Ambra, |
15 | Robert D'Ambra, Jordan D'Ambra, Jaykob D’Ambra, Morgan D'Ambra, Emersynn D'Ambra, |
16 | Felicity Fricker, Lanse Burk, and Myah and Mason Cabral, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. |
17 | D'Ambra was predeceased by her daughter, Mary Linda D'Ambra, her sisters Marie Restivo, |
18 | Antonetta Grasso and Rose Landry, and her brothers, Costanzo Grasso, Santo Grasso, Saverio |
19 | Grasso, Anthony Grasso, and John Grasso; and |
20 | WHEREAS, The most important job in Mrs. D'Ambra's life was that of raising her |

1 | family, which was her greatest joy in life. She was a beloved wife and mother and while she will |
2 | be greatly missed by her family and many friends, the memory of her joyful and loving spirit will |
3 | live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her; now, therefore be it |
4 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby |
5 | expresses its deepest condolences to the D'Ambra Family on the passing of Assunta D'Ambra; |
6 | and be it further |
7 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
8 | transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Michael D'Ambra, John D'Ambra, Jerry |
