H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

HONORING AND THANKING THE HONORABLE LOUIS P. CIRILLO, RETIRED

BRISTOL TOWN CLERK, FOR HIS THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED

PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE TOWN OF BRISTOL

     WHEREAS, Mr. Cirillo began his distinguished public service career in December of

1982, when he was elected to serve on the Bristol School Committee, a position he held until

December of 1984. Mr. Cirillo was then elected to serve on the Bristol Town Council in

December of 1984 until December of 1988 and later from December of 1990 to December of

1992. Mr. Cirillo also served on the Board of Canvassers from 1996 to 2004, and served as Town

Representative to Linden Place; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Cirillo has served as the elected Town Clerk of the Town of Bristol

from December of 2004 until his retirement in December of 2020. Throughout his esteemed

public service career, Mr. Cirillo always served the people of Bristol with integrity, honor and

tireless service. He helped to make Bristol a great place for living, working and recreation; now,

therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby

thanks and honors Mr. Louis P. Cirillo for his thirty-eight years of distinguished public service on

behalf of the citizens of Bristol. We wish him good health, happiness, and continued success in

all his future endeavors; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to the Honorable Louis P. Cirillo.
