S E N A T E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF THOMAS P. LEWIS

     WHEREAS, Thomas P. "Tommy" Lewis passed away on May 2, 2019. He was the son

of Warren and Barbara Lewis; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis graduated from La Salle Academy and attained a Bachelor's

degree in Finance from Salve Regina University in 2000, where he also played football. He was a

licensed banker who had a thriving professional career working for Citizens Bank; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis leaves behind his siblings, Susan Belliveau and her husband,

Norman, Warren Lewis and his wife, Carol, Anne Whittum and her husband, Scott, John Lewis,

Jane Lewis and her partner, Dawn Beauvais, William Lewis, Kristen Morales and her husband,

Mario, and Tricia Hadfield and her husband, Kevin. He also leaves eleven nieces and nephews;

and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis will forever be remembered by his family and many friends for

his effervescent personality, his wonderful smile, the twinkle in his eyes, and his kindness and

compassion for others. He was a loving and loyal son and brother, and an adoring uncle to his

nieces and nephews whom he always found the time to cheer on at the rink or fields of play. His

passing is a grievous loss but he will live forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him;

now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations

hereby expresses its condolences to the Lewis Family on the passing of Thomas P. Lewis; and be

it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. and Mrs. Warren and Barbara Lewis.
