1 | WHEREAS, Manfred S. Vasiliauskas passed away on June 3, 2019, in the embrace of his |
2 | devoted family. He was the loving husband of Judith V. Vasiliauskas for fifty-three years; and |
3 | WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas was born in Lithuania, the son of the late Peter and |
4 | Antonia Vasiliauskas. He served our nation with honor and devotion as a member of the United |
5 | States Army during the Vietnam War; and |
6 | WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas was a hard-working man and a devoted son, husband, |
7 | father and grandfather. He leaves behind, in addition to his wife, his son David C. Vasiliauskas |
8 | and his wife, Nancy, his three granddaughters, Emma, Avery and Addison Valisiauskas, and three |
9 | sisters, Irena Blume, Erika Fisher and Anita Dragnette; and |
10 | WHEREAS, Mr. Vasiliauskas's passing is an immense loss to his family and many |
11 | friends, but the memory of his love and friendship will long endure in the hearts and memories of |
12 | all who knew him; now, therefore be it |
13 | RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island Plantations |
14 | hereby expresses its condolences on the passing of Manfred S. Vasiliauskas; and be it further |
15 | RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to |
16 | transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mrs. Judith V. Vasiliauskas. |
