	RELATING TO AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY - PRESERVATION OF
	AGRICULTURAL LAND

	It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:
1	SECTION 1. Chapter 2-23.2 of the General Laws entitled "Preservation of Agricultural
2	Use" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section:
3	2-23.2-3.1. Farm preservation bond money.
4	The division of agriculture within the department of environmental management shall
5	administer all funding provided for the preservation of farm or agricultural land authorized by the
6	electors as a result of the passage of bond referenda at any general election.
7	SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage and shall apply to any bond funding
8	approved prior to passage and thereafter.

	BY THE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL

1	This act would assign to the division of agriculture within the department of
2	environmental management (DEM) the responsibility of administering all bond referenda
3	approved funding for the preservation of farm or agricultural land.
4	This act would take effect upon passage and would apply to any bond funding approved
5	prior to passage and thereafter.
