It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 38-2-3.1 of the General Laws in Chapter 38-2 entitled "Access to |
2 | Public Records" is hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 38-2-3.1. Records required. |
4 | (a) All records required to be maintained pursuant to this chapter shall not be replaced or |
5 | supplemented with the product of a "real-time translation reporter". |
6 | (b) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this chapter, all electronic data which must |
7 | be retained to comply with the requirements of this chapter, shall be converted into a form which |
8 | is readily and easily retrievable by government officials in order to enable them to comply with a |
9 | records request made pursuant to this chapter. |
10 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
