RELATING TO CRIMINAL OFFENSES - BIGAMY AND ADULTERY | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 11-6-2 of the General Laws in Chapter 11-6 entitled "Bigamy and |
2 | Adultery" is hereby repealed. |
3 | 11-6-2. Adultery. |
4 | Every person who shall commit adultery shall be fined not exceeding five hundred |
5 | dollars ($500); and illicit sexual intercourse between any two (2) persons, where either of them is |
6 | married, shall be deemed adultery in each. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
