It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 22-6 of the General Laws entitled "Committees and Staff" is |
2 | hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 22-6-4.1. Survival of bills and resolutions. |
4 | A bill or resolution introduced and referred to committee in the first (odd-numbered) year |
5 | of a two (2) year biennium shall survive into the second (even-numbered) year of the biennium |
6 | provided that the committee has not discharged the bill or resolution by a dispositive vote. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
