RELATING TO HOLIDAYS AND DAYS OF SPECIAL OBSERVANCE | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 25-2 of the General Laws entitled "Days of Special Observance" is |
2 | hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 25-2-59. Historical Cemetery Restoration/Awareness Day. |
4 | The second Saturday in the month of April shall annually be set apart as a day to be |
5 | known as "Historical Cemetery Restoration/Awareness Day." The day shall be observed by the |
6 | people of this state with appropriate ceremonies and activities that raise awareness of the many |
7 | historical cemeteries in our state. |
8 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
