H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF CARMELA M. BAPTISTA

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Carmela

M. Baptista, the beloved wife of the late Ernest Baptista, the cherished mother of Ernest Baptista

and Raymond Baptista, and the loving grandmother of Matthew, Michael, Peter, and Jennifer

Baptista; and

     WHEREAS, Carmela Baptista was daughter of the late Theodore and Carmela Del

Donno. She was the sister of Claire Lindgren, and the late Frank Del Donno and Joseph Del

Donno; and

     WHEREAS, In addition to making a home for her family, Mrs. Baptista had worked for

many years at Providence Metalizing before her retirement; and

     WHEREAS, Mrs. Baptista was a parishioner of the Church of the Presentation in

Marieville and a member of their St. Ann Society; and

     WHEREAS, There is no doubt that Carmela Baptista, an intelligent and caring woman,

left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew and loved her, and her ready smile and kind

spirit will be dearly missed; now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby expresses our deepest sympathies to the Baptista Family on the

passing of Carmela M. Baptista; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Ernest Baptista and Raymond Baptista.
