H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

THANKING FRANK SIONNI FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEVOTED SERVICE TO THE

RHODE ISLAND HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

     WHEREAS, Frank Sionni of Johnston, Rhode Island, served our nation with honor and

integrity in Germany during the Korean War era. He is the beloved husband of Mary Sionni and

is a lifetime parishioner of St. Bartholomew's Church in the Silver Lake Neighborhood of

Providence; and

     WHEREAS, Frank has served the Rhode Island House of Representatives with

dedication and good cheer as a Doorman for eight years since 2008. He is eighty-five years young

and is a quiet, unassuming and amiable fellow who is well-liked by everyone who knows him;

and

     WHEREAS, Unfortunately, Frank had to leave his position this year due to illness. We

understand that he has been feeling better lately and hope to see him soon visiting his many

friends at the State House and in the House of Representatives. Frank is a kind and compassionate

man, and a true gentleman. He has been sorely missed by all who know him and care about him;

now, therefore be it

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby thanks Frank Sionni for his many years of distinguished and

devoted service to the Rhode Island House of Representatives. We are happy to hear that he is

feeling better and hope to see him soon; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Frank Sionni.
