H O U S E   R E S O L U T I O N

REQUESTING THE RHODE ISLAND DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION'S DIVISION

OF STATEWIDE PLANNING AND THE RHODE ISLAND COMMERCE CORPORATION

TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY OF MCCOY STADIUM

     RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island and

Providence Plantations hereby requests the Rhode Island Department of Administration's

Division of Statewide Planning and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation to conduct a

feasibility study of McCoy Stadium, Pawtucket Rhode Island, and the adjacent municipal

facilities with respect to their continued and future use as a recreational venue, an entertainment

center, or as a site for potential commercial, industrial, or technological services development;

and be it further

     RESOLVED, That this House hereby requests that said study shall include the need for

any improvements to existing roads, streets and highways, and any upgrade of utilities; and be it

further

     RESOLVED, That this House hereby requests that the Rhode Island Department of

Administration's Division of Statewide Planning and the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation

report back its findings to the General Assembly on or before June 1, 2015; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the Governor of the State of Rhode Island, the

Director of the Department of Administration, the Associate Director of the State of Rhode Island

Division of Planning, and the Executive Director of the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation.
