It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Chapter 45-3 of the General Laws entitled "Town Meetings" is hereby |
2 | amended by adding thereto the following section: |
3 | 45-3-14.1. Local fire district financial meeting quorum requirement. – No local fire |
4 | district created by the general assembly shall have the legal authority to conduct business of its |
5 | own financial meeting with a quorum unless it is attended by at least two percent (2%) of the total |
6 | registered and qualified voting members of the fire district. |
7 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
