RELATING TO TOWNS AND CITIES - SEWAGE CHARGES | |

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows: | |
1 | SECTION 1. Section 45-14-6 of the General Laws in Chapter 45-14 entitled "Sewage |
2 | Charges" is hereby amended to read as follows: |
3 | 45-14-6. Agreements as to sewage disposal. – (a) This chapter shall not impair any |
4 | existing or future agreements between any city or town, with reference to sewage disposal. |
5 | (b) Any city or town, or any agency of a city or town, or sewer authority in connection |
6 | with sewers or sewer systems of these municipalities, shall have the authority to service and |
7 | maintain sewer lines in a bordering city or town with no legal liability attaching thereto and |
8 | without the requirement of any intercommunity agreement. |
9 | SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon passage. |
