     RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by Resolution No. 375

passed by the General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2010, and approved June 25, 2010,

entitled "Joint Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission to Study the Purchase and

Use of Textbooks in Public Schools" and as amended by Resolution No. 415, passed by the

1-5

General Assembly at its January Session, A.D. 2011, and approved June 29, 2011, entitled "Joint

Resolution Extending the Reporting and Expiration Dates of the Special Legislative Commission

1-7

to Study the Purchase and Use of Textbooks in Public Schools" is hereby reinstated and the same

1-8

members are hereby reappointed, and it is authorized to continue its study and make a report to

1-9

the General Assembly on or before May 31, 2014, and said commission shall expire December

1-10

31, 2014; and be it further

     RESOLVED, That the time for reporting and date of expiration authorized by Resolution

1-12

No. 415, passed by the General Assembly at its January session, A.D. 2011, and approved June

1-13

29, 2011, be and the same is hereby rescinded.

DATES OF THE SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMISSION TO STUDY THE PURCHASE

AND USE OF TEXTBOOKS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS

     This resolution would reinstate the life and extend the reporting date of the special

legislative commission to undertake a comprehensive study of the purchase and use of textbooks

2-3

in public schools and would provide a report on or before May 31, 2014, and said commission

2-4

would expire December 31, 2014.
