EXPRESSING PROFOUND SYMPATHY ON THE PASSING OF MAY Y. LEVESQUE | |

     WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of May Y. |

Levesque, beloved wife of the late George Levesque, devoted mother of Marjorie, Guy, the late |
1-3 |
George Levesque and the late Sara Levesque, and a supportive mother-in-law to Richard |
1-4 |
Gottlieb. She was also the proud grandmother of Erika, Emily, and Sara, and the great- |
1-5 |
grandmother of Brett and Scott; and |
1-6 |
     WHEREAS, Mrs. Levesque was born in Woonsocket to the late Clarence and Beatrice |
1-7 |
Dudley. She possessed a great mental legerdemain throughout most of her life, charming family |
1-8 |
and friends with her traditional English wit. Her caring nature led her to become a nurse. She |
1-9 |
worked many years in various nursing capacities, most recently at the Institute of Mental Health |
1-10 |
for the State of Rhode Island; and |
1-11 |
     WHEREAS, Enjoying a special closeness with nature, Mrs. Levesque loved animals, |
1-12 |
gardening and bird watching. She also enjoyed a good book and local politics, and was a former |
1-13 |
member of the Portsmouth Democratic Women's Club; and |
1-14 |
     WHEREAS, May Levesque was the heart and soul of her family. Her kindheartedness |
1-15 |
and sincerity will forever be indelibly imprinted on the lives and in the cherished memories of her |
1-16 |
entire family. She enriched the lives of all who had the good fortune to know her, and she will be |
1-17 |
dearly missed; now, therefore be it |
1-18 |
     RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations |
1-19 |
hereby extends our deepest sympathies on the passing of May Y. Levesque. She will be forever |
1-20 |
remembered as a devoted wife and loving mother; and be it further |
2-1 |
     RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and he hereby is authorized and directed to |
2-2 |
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Marjorie Levesque and Guy Levesque. |
